My ONLINE Business

I have more than one business I am running. I am a Sales Representative. It is not easy to run a business online. People make it sound so easy to earn money online. They often do not give details about how to actually get customers nor how much money you have to spend to promote and advertise your business or blog or whatever you are trying to do online.

Look at blogs. Right now as I am writing this blog I am using a free website. I have read posts and articles from other bloggers. The bloggers who are making money from writing blogs are paying for the website they have. They have web hosting fees and other things to pay for to get their blog website promoted and at the top of search engines. It is the same when running any business online. You have to pay fees to promote and advertise your business. Then you hope someone will notice and click on your link , purchase something, and share your website with someone they know. There are more work and details that I have not mentioned in this post or blog that I am writing right now.

Story Book

I have found blogging to be like writing a story or a book. You write about things you like, things you do, things you think someone else want to read about. You can write about any thing.

For me the hardest thing about blogging is finding others to share it with. I am blogging as a hobby to see how much I enjoy it. Eventually my blogs will become more meaningful and interesting.

I didn’t choose a niche or one topic to write about because I will get bored with it and run out of ideas to write about that one specific niche.

Life is full of variety. I enjoy reading blogs from others more than I like writing blogs. I find myself reading blogs and posts and watching YouTube hours at a time. I have to make myself get offline.

So, I will stop writing now. I have spent enough time online. I have other things in my life to attend to including family and friends.

Blogging

Blogging, blogging, blogging. What will I blog about today? Honestly, I do not know what to blog about today. Right now I am feeling frustrated. There are so many things I need to do and want to do, but I do not know what to do first. Where should I begin? Make a list of the things I want to do and then prioritize them. That is a good idea.

The truth is. There are too many distractions around me. It is hard to focus when people and things keeps interrupting you. Some people are so rude. You kindly ask them to be a bit less noisy and they get louder and continue to interrupt you. Do not leave out that annoying phone and the knocks on the door. It seems as if people know exactly when you are trying to get some work done or just simply trying to spend quality time with someone.

You sit around doing nothing important and no one bothers you. But, as soon as you are trying to do something important here are the distractions.

Blogging Journey Update

Writing is not as hard as it appear to be. If you can think of something to write about and just be yourself as you write it gets a little easier each time. I really did not know where to begin or what to write about. I made a list of things to write about only to say to myself, ” So many people already blog about this. I don’t know anything about this that is not already published somewhere”.

A tip from another blogger helped me to get started. They said in their blog to write about anything. They literally meant “anything”. Of course it should be something good and clean for others to eventually read. I took her advice and started to write. Now I am finally blogging.

Although the things I want to blog about are already on the web in someone else’s blog, I can still blog about it. Look at chocolate cake for example. There are so many chocolate recipes already on the web that I thought my chocolate cake recipe would not matter. Well, guess what. Each of those recipes are similar because they are all chocolate cake. When you read the ingredients and directions they are different. Some recipes use cocoa powder, others use dark chocolate or milk chocolate. Some use candy bars and other things. The amount of ingredients vary as well. Some ask for 1/2 cup water. Another ask for 1/4 cup water. Another may be no water. Even the cooking time and temperature is different for some of the chocolate cake recipes.

Regardless of which chocolate cake recipe you choose to use, at the end of the day, it is still a chocolate cake. Now go ahead and start your blog. The same is true for youtube and starting your business too. Go ahead and get started.
